Makeup Monday: My 10 Favorite Beauty Products

Hello, lovelies!

My name is Cassie, and I’m a makeup addict. I have a real problem. Last year, I accidentally shopped at Sephora enough to earn VIB Rouge status. I started my ColourPop collection a little over a year ago, and it now takes up 2 drawers in my vanity. The struggle is real. I decided to use my addiction to help you. Here are my 10 favorite beauty products:

10. Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Dear Brachiosaurus Blotting Paper

These blotting papers are amazing! I love the little puff that comes with it, and the mirror is perfect.

9. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo

This stuff is great for setting brow color. I also use it to fill in my brows, when I’m too lazy to draw them on.

8. ColourPop Brow Colour

I recently revamped my brow routine. I use this in Bangin’ Brunette to fill in my brows and to create the arch I wish I had. Next I use it in Black N’ Brown and their Brow Pencil in Jet Set Black to draw in some hairs, which makes them look slightly less unnatural. Then I set them with #9 on the list.

7. Stila Color Correcting Stick

This stick is amazing. I use it instead of regular foundation. The green part evens out any redness in my complexion.

6. Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder

This is literally the best powder I’ve ever used. It sets my makeup beautifully all day, except during the humid Southern summer. Even then, it helps my makeup stay in place for at least an hour or two.

5. ColourPop Sculpting Stix

If you read my post, Makeup Monday: Colourpop Sculpting Stix Review, you already know how much I love these. They are absolutely perfect for highlighting and contouring.

4. ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Friday

By now, you probably know how much I love ColourPop, especially their various lip products. I had a hard time choosing just 1 for this list, but this was it. Ultra Matte Lips stay on literally all day. This particular shade, a perfect true black, is a limited edition. It was only released for Black Friday 2015, so I bought 2.

3. Sugarpill False Eyelashes in Precious

I’m unfortunately stuck with short, straight, Asian lashes. Nothing I do to them can make them hold a curl. These falsies give me the gorgeous lashes that genetics did not. Yes, they’re a little over the top, but so am I.

2. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Color Correcting Blend

This stuff works wonders. I use it under #7. The melon-ish tint blurs my ridiculous freckles slightly, and lightens up the dark circles under my eyes.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil

This tiny pencil is fucking gold! I primarily use it to clean up the edges of my brows. It’s also a great eyeshadow base, concealer pencil, and lip liner. I use it all the time, as you can probably tell by the picture.

Narrowing this list down to just 10 favorite beauty products was almost impossible for me, so don’t be surprised, if you see a part 2. Are you a makeup addict, too? What are your 10 favorite beauty products? Let me know in the comments!

My name is Cassie, and I’m a makeup addict. I have a real problem. I decided to use my addiction to help you. Here are my 10 favorite beauty products:

  • Paige Strand

Smash box is a great brand, I seem to only be able to find it in the US! I guess I will be back shortly haha

    • Cassie Lopez

That’s too bad, but it’s a great excuse to visit the States!

    • Cassie Lopez

      Thanks, Allie!

  • Ah! Your makeup collection sounds like absolute heaven! Great post, I really want to try out those colour pop sculpting sticks!

    • Cassie Lopez

Thank you! I’ll probably have a peek at more of my collection for you in a few weeks.

      • Oooh I can’t wait! I would love to see your colour pop collection 🙂

  • Cait Weingartner

I’d love to try that finishing powder! All of these products sound amazing.

    • Cassie Lopez

I highly recommend it. Sephora likes to give away deluxe samples of it to their Beauty Insiders, so if you don’t want to invest in it yet, look out for it there.

  • Fellow beauty addict here! I actually haven’t tried most of these products, so I’ll definitely have to add some of them to my list of things to check out in the future 🙂 I can totally understand having two drawers full of ColourPop. For the price they make some seriously amazing stuff!!

    • It’s nice to know that I’m not alone in my addiction! The fact that Colourpop ships for free at $30, it’s hard to not amass a ridiculous collection!

  • Marsha Jones Youmans

These are good ones! I like the versatility of the foundation stick!

    • Thanks! I don’t understand how I survived without it!

  • easypeasycook

Was going to buy the Smashbox primer but didn’t know what color would be better for my skin….haha, i’m pretty useless when it comes to make up!

    • It really depends on what you need it to do. It follows color theory. Green corrects redness, and apricot minimizes dark spots, like dark circles under the eyes and sunspots. I really recommend talking to the people at Sephora. They’re usually super knowledgable, and they’re all really nice.
