Hello, lovelies!
As you know, I love false lashes. You’ve seen me wear them almost every Makeup Monday. Everyone who’s tried them knows that they can be difficult to apply, if you don’t know what you’re doing. I decided to help you out.
What You Need
Obviously, you need a pair of lashes and some eyelash glue. These lashes are Sugarpill’s Sinnocent. I also used them inΒ Makeup Monday: How to Rock Mermaid Makeup.
Before You Start
Line your upper lids with black eyeliner, so the false lashes will blend in better. Also, hold the lashes up to your lash line. If the strips are too long, trim them.
Getting Tacky
Apply the glue to the lash strips, and wait until the glue gets tacky. The time varies depending on the brand. I’m usually able to brush on my translucent powder and highlighting powder while the glue sets.
Application
Some people use tweezers or special tools to apply their false lashes, but I just use my fingers. Place them as close to your lash line as possible. After I get them on and before the glue dries, I adjust them a little, so they curl up more. I hold the false lashes and my real lashes between my thumb and index finger and gently rotate them up, much like I would with an eyelash curler.
Problem Solving
After the glue has dried completely, check to make sure that the corners a properly glued down. If they aren’t, place a small dot of glue on the tip of a bobby pin. Hold up the unstuck corner, and gently tap a little glue directly where you want the lashes to stick. Hold the lashes on the glue for about 10 seconds.
The Finished Look
