Hello lovelies!
While I love all aspects of makeup, my absolute favorite feature to play with is my lips. This is how I put together the look that I did in my post Serving Ballerina Realness: How to Style a Tulle Skirt.
For this look, I first decided on the lip color. This is ColourPop’s Ultra Satin Lip in The Rabbit. It’s a bold fuchsia with a bit of a blue shine. It also happens to be my favorite shade in this formula.
After I settled on a lip color, I pulled my hair back and started with a clean face.
Face
Yes, I was breaking out, but that pimple did get covered eventually. I started with my smashbox color correcting primer, which works wonders on the bags under my eyes and my freckles. Why the hell do I have freckles? I then smeared my stila color correcting stick in rich medium 05 all over my face and blended with my beauty blender. If you read my post What’s in my makeup bag?, you know that I think the beauty blender was a gift from the makeup gods.
Brows
Next, I did my eyebrows. I started with ColourPop’s Brow Color in Black N’ Brown. Then, I used their Brow Pencil in Jet Set Black to draw in some individual hairs. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown to set them and add dimension. Finally, I used my ABH Pro Pencil in Base 2 to clean up the edges and as an eye shadow primer.
Contour
Contouring is an excellent way to enhance your favorite features and downplay the things you may not love about your face. I always use ColourPop’s Sculpting Stix in Relevé and New Renaissance. Again, I blended that shit with my beauty blender. Especially when blending your contour and highlight, make sure your beauty blender is damp. Otherwise, your face will be uneven and possibly chalky. Not a good look.
Eyes
For my eyes, I used ColourPop’s Super Shock Shadow in Central Perk, Wattles, Amaze, and Weenie. I also lined my bottom lid with Central Perk and Weenie. My current favorite eyeliner is Sephora and Disney’s Minnie Mouse collaboration felt liner in Little Black Dress.
Your eyeliner wings should always be sharp enough to cut a bitch. Self defense is very important.
More Face Crap
I finished off my face with Sephora’s Bright Future concealer in Melon and Madeleine, ColourPop’s blush in Cheerio, Make Up For Ever HD powder, and ColourPop’s highlighter in Teasecake. These pinks played nicely with the fuchsia lip As you can probably tell by now, I have a bit of a ColourPop obsession.
Lips
For my lips, I used Sephora’s waterproof universal lip liner. Seriously, this thing is amazing. It completely stops all feathering and running that your lipstick may try to do. I also used ColourPop’s Lippie Pencil in I <3 This, before applying their Ultra Satin Lip in The Rabbit. I <3 this is a great shade of fuchsia that almost perfectly matches The Rabbit.
Lashes
While the glue for my Sugarpill lashes (Precious) was getting tacky, I used Make Up For Ever’s Smoky Extravagant mascara on my bottom lashes.
Final Look
And here’s the finished look! Do you love bold fuchsia lips as much as I do?
