Hello, lovelies!
I didn’t have time to review Petit Vour’s Vegan Beauty Box last month, so I knew I had to fit the most recent one into my schedule. As you probably know, I’m always on the lookout for fun, cruelty-free beauty products. For $15 per month, you get 4, sometimes full-sized, non-toxic, cruelty-free, ethically made, and vegan products, and so far, it’s been totally worth it. I paid full price, and Petit Vour is not compensating me in any way for this review.
Red Apple Lipstick – Rebel!
I’m really picky about lipstick. Like super picky. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one. I wanted to see how it would do, so I didn’t line my lips at all. This lipstick is AMAZING! It went on like butter, and it didn’t feather all day! The color is absolutely perfect. I usually stick with my $5-6 ColourPop lippies, but I’ll definitely splurge on some Red Apple Lipstick every now and then.
Grade: A
Kahina Beldi Soap
I had high hopes for this one. I’m always looking for skin softeners and exfoliators. The first thing I noticed was the smell. It was vaguely familiar and slightly unpleasant. After a few minutes, I realized that was the olive oil. Personally, I only like olive oil if I’m dipping bread or tossing pasta in it. I could hardly smell the eucalyptus. The texture was also a bit strange. I think my skin might be slightly softer, but I couldn’t really tell. If you like the smell of olives, you’ll probably like this more than I did.
Grade: C
Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil
I rarely use face oils, but this one sounded super interesting. It’s supposed to improve clarity, skin tone, firmness and elasticity. The tiny bottle was enough for a 2 week trial. Over the 2 weeks, I didn’t see much of a difference in my skin, but it did moisturize my face, and it smelled delightful. I probably won’t buy it again, but I did like it.
Grade: B
Apoterra Skincare Tulsi Rejuvenating Oil
Full disclosure: my dumb ass misplaced the sample! I feel like such a failure. I’m in the middle of remodeling my bedroom, so my stuff is scattered all over the tiny guest room. Everything is everywhere, and I feel like I’m losing everything. The reviews on Petit Vour’s website say that it smells delightful. It’s apparently the perfect body oil for after a shower or bath.
Grade: 4.5/5 stars with 212 reviews
Update: I found it! It decided to hide on my desk behind my hair oils. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It’s lavender and evening primrose. I usually hate lavender, but when I opened the bottle, the scent wasn’t overwhelming. After my shower last night, I used the oil from my neck to my toes. I have pretty sensitive skin, but it didn’t make me itch at all! The scent was very pleasant, and my skin is softer than it usually is with my moisturizing cream. I would definitely buy this product.
My Grade: A
Final Thoughts
I’m still obsessed with the Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box. It was only $15, and I got a full-sized $23 lipstick. I definitely can’t complain! I’m definitely keeping this subscription for a while.
