AAAHHHHHHH! It’s been a while! Things have been crazy at work, and I had to put this blog on the back burner for a little bit. However, I couldn’t let another holiday pass without a new outfit post! One of my favorite things about the 4th of July is the color scheme. In a country that’s so divided about a lot of things, it’s great to see everyone come together to openly celebrate the freedom that allows us to have differing opinions. My 4th of July look last year was vintage-inspired, and I couldn’t resist going for a similar look this year.
The Dress
I’ll be honest with you. When I first saw this dress, I wasn’t thinking about the 4th of July. It was just so delightfully retro, that I couldn’t not get it. Even my aversion to white clothing (due to the fact that I’m ridiculously clumsy) couldn’t stop me from adding it to my wardrobe. Since I purchased it, it has become one of my favorites!
The Accessories
Sadly, I don’t have any red shoes. How the hell did that happen? In order to stick with the red, white, and blue theme, I grabbed a pair of navy sandals. Luckily, my crab purse from kate spade was the perfect pop of red.
Hair and Makeup
I needed to add a little more red to this outfit, so I went for my ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Creeper. I kept my eyes simple with black winged eyeliner and Unicorn Lashes in Dragoness. Because I was feeling lazy, I left my hair natural.
The 4th of July Look
Here’s the final look! I can’t wait to wear it again for the 4th of July.
What are you wearing for the 4th? Do you have any fun plans? Let me know in the comments! xo
