Hello, lovelies!

Who doesn’t love mermaids? I’m pretty sure that all kids of the 80s and 90s pretended to be Princess Ariel in the bath or at the pool. As you probably already know, I had to show the world my love for mermaids with Makeup Monday: How to Rock Mermaid Makeup. This look inspired me to dress the part.
The Outfit
I created the outfit around this crop top from ASOS. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have it anymore. I absolutely love the lace detail on the hem. I paired it with a peacock cardigan and black shorts, both from Modcloth. Because I wanted the crop top to have all of the attention, I kept these pieces simple; however, I do really love the color of the cardigan.
The Accessories
You can’t be a mermaid without a crabby sidekick! The second that I saw this crab novelty purse at kate spade, I knew I had to have it. During that same shopping trip, I found the matching coin purse and phone case. I couldn’t leave the store without them!
A mermaid is not complete without her dinglehopper! I bought this brush from the Disney Store website. When I still had my blue mermaid hair, I used to chase my brother around the house while brushing my hair and singing “Part of Your World” as loudly as possible. I found the sunglasses on sale at Anne Taylor Loft.
The Look
Here’s the complete look. I couldn’t take another mermaid picture without my dinglehopper. As you can see, I was feeling lazy, so I just wore a pair of ugly, yet comfy, flip flops.
The Face
In case you missed it, here’s my version of mermaid makeup. As always, I beat my face with ColourPop. This look also feature Lumi Loose Eyeshadow and Sinnocent lashes, both by Sugarpill.
