Hello, lovelies!

I love a good vintage-inspired dress. The fashion from the 1950s totally inspires me. Yes I’m a feminist, but there’s something about 50s housewife style that totally speaks to me. The silhouette is just too gorgeous and ladylike! I wore this outfit to a recent workshop with my women’s networking group.
The Dress
Yes, you’ve already seen this dress. I wore it for Halloween, and I’m super obsessed with it! It’s unbelievably comfortable. It’s the 1950s Style Black Delores Sleeved Swing Dress from Unique Vintage. I totally need it in every color.
The Accessories
I decided that I wanted to go for some “merry widow” vibes, so I kept it (almost) all black. I’m obsessed with someย stockings from Modcloth. They’re super sexy, and they cover up the fact that I hate shaving my legs in the fall. Of course, I also rocked my favorite Chase & Chloe heels.
I also threw on some vintage fake pearls. I probably should have gone with a longer necklace, because of the dress’ deep neckline, but I love this necklace too much. Finally, I added a pop of color with my favorite Hello Kitty purse, because I caked my face with the new ColourPop x Hello Kitty collab.
The Hair and Makeup
I didn’t want my hair to distract from the look, so I swept it up into a French twist. My most recent ColourPop order arrived the day before, so I smeared the ColourPop x Hello Kitty collab all over. I just couldn’t resist it! The details on this face, as well as a brand new review, will be on Monday’s post!
The Look
Here’s the final look!
What do you think? Did I pull it off? What’s your favorite fashion era? Let me know in the comments! xo
