The last post was dedicated to my love for Disney, so I figured my Harry Potter obsession could use some love, too. I grew up with Harry Potter. When I was 8 years old, I opened Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for the first time. When Harry first went to Hogwarts on the big screen, an 11-year-old me went with him. I proudly keep my keys on a Slytherin lanyard, and I have a Hogwarts Alumni sticker on my truck. My pet pygmy puff, Fred, lives in a glittery pink Betsey Johnson jewelry box on my vanity, and his brother, George, lives at my best friend’s house in California. Read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I have been obsessed with Wednesday Addams for the past 2 decades. I sometimes dreamed of being a singing mermaid princess or a female warrior fighting the Huns. However, I often fantasized about being that morbid little girl who daydreamed about homicide and decapitated her beloved doll, Marie Antoinette. If you listen to me closely, you may catch some of her iconic lines escape my lips. I even made my younger brother watch the movies repeatedly. He eventually decided that he liked them, too. I dream of playing Wednesday in the musical. I was 8 years old, when I donned her iconic black dress with a white collar and two braids for the first, and definitely not last, time.
