I usually focus on putting makeup on, but how you take it off is even more important. I’ve used wipes, cleansers, soaps, oils, just about anything you can think of, to remove makeup over the years. Several years ago, I discovered the Makeup Eraser, and it changed my life. I actually still have that first one, and I was using it regularly until a few weeks ago.
Why did I retire that original Makeup Eraser? Because I won a crazy giveaway on Instagram! They gave me 7 (well, 8 because one was a 2-pack) new products, so my trusty OG eraser is getting a well-deserved break. She’s currently relaxing in a place of honor in one of my vanity drawers. I think the unicorn one my be my new favorite.
How It Works
The Makeup Eraser is made up of a ton of tiny hair-like fibers that gently lift makeup away. Warm water makes these fibers stand up, so they can actually get the makeup out of your pores. It can get rid of anything, including my crazy long-lasting super matte lipsticks that can stay on for like 24 hours. The only thing it has trouble with is eyelash glue, but nothing I’ve ever used has worked on that.
How I Use It
Using the Makeup Eraser is ridiculously easy. You literally just wet a section of it with warm water and then rub your face with the short side. When the makeup is gone, use the long fiber side to exfoliate. Then I just hang it up to dry.
After I get my makeup off, I wash and moisturize my face as usual. Right now I’m obsessed with Glory Cloud’s Whipped Soaps and Farsali’s Volcanic Elixir. I wash my Makeup Erasers every 3-5 uses. Now that I have so many of them, they get washed a lot less frequently.
Do you have a Makeup Eraser yet? Which on is your favorite?
