Like a lot of 90s and early 2000s girls, I was (and still am) in love with NSYNC. I had their CDs and several posters. Actually, I still have one their posters, and I even have one of their concerts on DVD. Back in 2000, my parents took me to the No Strings Attached Tour. It was one of the best days of my life. Just like millions of girls from my generation, I was devastated when they broke up, and I’m still waiting for a reunion tour. I was so excited when I heard that they were performing with Justin at the VMAs, but their 30 seconds or so was not enough for me.
When Shear Madness Fabrics released some NSYNC fabric, I lost my mind. I ended up with a few yards in cotton lycra and double brushed poly. I immediately made an NSYNC maxi dress and a bodysuit. Somehow I still had about another yard left, but I wasn’t sure what to do with it.
After making my first Star Struck dress (you can see that one here), I was inspired. I was sad to cut into the last of the fabric, but I knew it would be worth it. Luckily I had some white cotton lycra laying around. It was perfect for the straps and the waistband. The leftover NSYNC fabric was DBP, and I still can’t get over how soft the dress is.
Our crazy weather decided to warm up a bit this week, so I decided to take advantage of it. I paired the dress with my denim jacket from Rebellia and my favorite white Converse. I felt delightfully 90s. I’m sooooooooo ready for that reunion tour now!
If you could make any band have a reunion tour, who would you pick? Let me know in the comments!
I need this dress in my life!! Itβs dope!!
Thank you! If Shear Madness Fabrics ever runs this fabric again, I’d be happy to make one for you!
