When I was a kid, Sabrina the Teenage Witch was one of my favorite shows. Who didn’t want to have magic powers and a sassy talking cat? I remember watching it every day after school and wishing that I could perform spells by pointing my finger. When I heard that Netflix was releasing The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I was PUMPED.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was hoping that it would be awesome. It did not disappoint. The show is delightfully creepy and fun. I adore the feminist-y girl power theme, and my inner witchy woman naturally loves the witchcraft and magic.
Fun fact: I am a fabric hoarder with a custom printed fabric addiction. One of my favorite custom fabric companies came out with a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina collection, and I had to have it. The print was gorgeous, so I had trouble cutting into it. I needed the perfect pattern, and I found it on George + Ginger.
The Starstruck pattern featuring a strappy pentagram neckline was the perfect match for this witchy fabric! It’s actually supposed to be a peplum top, but I added 4 inches to the front of the peplum and 6 to the back to make it a dress. This is probably the most intricate pattern I’ve attempted since teaching myself how to sew almost 2 years ago, the the instructions were super clear and easy to follow.
The warmer weather we’ve had for the last couple of weeks disappeared, so I tossed on my Vixen by Micheline Pitt Letterman Jacket and a pair of floral, faux thigh high fishnets. My second favorite piece in this outfit is definitely the bubblegum pink skull purse from Killstar. The zipper is a little difficult, but it’s the perfect mashup of adorable and creepy.
The latest season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina drops today! Are you going to binge watch it this weekend?
