Apparently I really like launching things on June 1st. I’d like you introduce you all to my latest venture: Cassie Creates What.
I recently taught myself how to sew with my Janome Hello Kitty sewing machine. (Yes, it’s amazing and perfect.) I started with some super awesome pillows.
During one of my very expensive trips to Joann, I found an incredible fabric covered with zombie pinup girls. Yes, you read that correctly. Zombie. Pinup. Girls. Of course I couldn’t resist it, and it inspired my first big project. I needed to get that fabric on my body ASAP, and I figured a skirt would be the easiest solution.
When I shared a picture of my skirt in one of my Facebook groups, I received a lot of really good feedback. A bunch of girls said that they wanted one, and I figured they couldn’t be the only ones. One girl even requested an apron. I couldn’t say “no,” so I decided that Cassie Knits What should level up and become Cassie Creates What. I will still carry some knitted products, when the weather is appropriate, but my new crafty projects need to find good homes, too!
I’ve spent the last couple of weeks expanding my own wardrobe, learning new sewing techniques, and creating fun things for the Cassie Creates What Etsy shop. So far I’ve made a bunch of bows and a few pillow cases and scrunchies for the shop. Eventually, I’ll add some aprons, clutches, and totes, too.
Are you ready to shop? The first 4 orders will get a free gift, so shop now!
Are you looking for something specific? Let me know! I do take special orders.
Is there something I should carry in the shop? Add it to the comments below, and I’ll do my best to create it!
